Today is a special day for local iPhone fans as it marks the local launch of the new iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C from Apple. This year, Apple has released not one but two iPhone models. the aluminum encased iPhone 5S with it’s 64-bit processor and the plastic unibody moulded iPhone 5C sporting the same processor as the iPhone 5.
Both models (and corresponding colors) will be available locally in limited quantities. Judging from the demand, the iPhones will soon sell out.
For the past several days, the local mobile service providers – Smart and Globe has been accepting pre-orders for the new iPhones. As with previous iPhone launches, Globe’s and Smart’s business centers nationwide will be busy entertaining customers who have been waiting for the new iPhone’s local availability.
Something is new this year on the local iPhone market because this year’s new iPhones will be available today for sale in Beyond the Box shops. The iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C from Beyond the Box will be unlocked — meaning when you buy them, you can use either a Globe or Smart SIM on the iPhone.
Prices for the new iPhone 5S and and iPhone 5C will differ depending on whether you buy a locked iPhone from Globe or Smart and unlocked iPhone from Beyond the Box.
